West Yorkshire wildlife places
Fairburn Ings and St Aidan's are two former coal-mining sites which are now great places to see wildlife. Specialities of Fairburn include kingfishers and sand martins, while bearded tits, stonechats, kestrels, and short-eared owls can be seen at St Aidan's.

Lincolnshire wildlife places
Donna Nook, in North East Lincolnshire, is a fantastic place to see grey seals when they having their pups in November, December, and early January. You can get close to the seals, which are just on the other side of a low fence - and as long as you follow the guidelines, the seals are relaxed about human presence.
